How to quickly start to play
Tennis Elbow Manager 2 ?
Step by Step Coaching
In TEM2, you take control of a coach and his player,
and your goal is to reach the Number One ranking in the world,
to stay there as long as possible and win as many Grand Slam
titles as possible
You will also have the possibility to hire up to 8 additional
players, under contracts, renewable if everything is alright
If you don't have DirectX
9.0c on your computer, you have to install it first
Launch Tennis Elbow Manager 2
This takes you to the Main Menu
Click on the big "World Tour" button on the top
left
Click on the big "Resume current game" icon on the top
left, to immediately play the standard game
This takes you to the "World Tour" menu
Click on the big "Coached players" button, on the top
left
The 5 buttons on the top of the screen give you access
to the tabs to handle your players : you can train your
player, register him in tournaments, see to his sponsor, his
trainers, and look at the contract between him and the coach
You have 6 hours of training per day, and the better you train
your player, the best chance you'll have to win your matches
; for example, you could do your 1st week of training on footing,
body building, and serves
In the "Planning" tab, go to the 4th week, and
register your player in a "Futures" tournament, the
only kind he can enter right now, because of his low ranking
Click on the "Back" icon at the top left, then
on the "Next Week" icon
Train again, but this time, take between 6 and 12 hours of
rest
After that, click again on "Next week", and you
should go to your 1st tournament ; don't take the coach with
your player, if you want to save some money
Play your 1st match, which you'll be more likely to lose than
win
Afterwards, come back to the coach center, and re-start the
training sessions, and select the next tournaments you want
to play
Don't forget to look at the sponsor offers and accept the
one that suits you
Once you have enough money, you could hire specialized trainers
In TEM2, you can also play tennis in the 3D matches, but in this case, the management part will be slightly unbalanced as a few of your player's skills will be less useful when you control him directly
You can also freely play tennis matches in the Training Club
If you don't have DirectX
9.0c on your computer, you have to install it first
Launch Tennis Elbow Manager 2
You are in the Main Menu
Click on the big "Training Club" button on the top right with the mouse, or select the icon with
the arrow keys and hit "Alt" key on the button
You are in the "Training Club" Menu
Click on the bug "Warm-up" button on top right
You're on the court, in warm-up mode
Move your player with the arrow keys
You strike the ball when "Alt", "Ctrl", or "Alt"+"Ctrl"
keys are hold down.
==>> You must maintain the button(s) pressed when you strike
the ball <<==
If you don't press down any key, you'll weakly strike the ball.
When you hold down "Alt" or/and "Ctrl", you can give a direction to your
shot:
push left arrow to send the ball to the left: the more time, the more to the left.
push right arrow to send the ball to the right: the more time, the more to the right.
When you hold down "Alt" and "Ctrl" at the same time, you strongly
hit the ball: it's a super shot! But be careful, you can do only a limited number of good
accelerations per point. After that, your accelerations will become more and more imprecise
& powerless each time your try to do one more.
Try to position yourself in one of the 2 green spots of the Danger Zone which appears after
where the ball will rebound, else your strike might lose some accuracy
The earlier you press the buttons to prepare your strike, the most accurate it will be
When you can move your player and strike the ball, you are ready for a match !
Press the 'Esc' key, then choose "Leave Court" to come back to the menus
Click on the "Match" button on the top right
You are in the game

Hold down "Alt", "Ctrl", or "Alt"+"Ctrl" keys
during all the serving phase
you can change the default keys, or use joystick; for that, go to the "Controls"
menu, available from the bottom left of your player's Character Sheet (when he's set to Human and not CPU)
