                  D-Link DE-650CT PCMCIA Ethernet Card Installation
                             for NetWare OS/2 ODI Driver

 Introduction
 
        The ODI driver allows you to run multiple protocol stacks and install
        up to two network adapters in a workstation. This ODI driver supports
        the Node Address, Protocol, and Frame options for creating your own
        NET.CFG file. This installation assumes that the PCMCIA drivers are
        working properly. Please consult INST_DOS.TXT for help with
        PCMCIA Drivers. Getting Started will describe the installation
        instructions.

 Requirements
 
        A PCMCIA compatible Laptop
        A PCMCIA chipset that is PCIC compatible (Intel, Cirrus, Vadem, and
         VLSI) or Databook compatible.
        An ODI OS/2 compatible network operating system
        A DE-650CT (our single media cards are not supported, 650T and 650C)
        A knowledge of basic DOS commands and editing text files

 Minimum Skill Level
 
        A knowledge of basic DOS commands
        A knowledge of editing text files
        A knowledge of DOS basic file structure (CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT)
        A knowledge of the network driver configuration being used
        Please see Support Options if you are not comfortable will this

 Compatibility List
 
        DE-650CT only (will not run with DE-650T or DE-650C)
        Removal of any present PCMCIA drivers

 Getting Started
 
        Make sure the instruction on enabling the card under OS/2 are followed
         precisly to minimize problems. Please see INST_OS2.TXT
         for installation tips.

        Install the Requester on the workstation.  For information on the
         installation procedure, please refer to Novell's "NetWare Requester
         for OS/2" manual.

        Copy DE65SODI.SYS into your C:\NETWARE directory.

        Modify your CONFIG.SYS file to include the following device driver
         statement:

         DEVICE=C:\NETWARE\DE65SODI.SYS

        Modify your NET.CFG file for special settings you need. For information
         on the various keywords, please refer to Novell's manual or the sample
         net.cfg file included in the provided diskette.


