 Introduction

The D-Link Turbo driver is a re-tuned set of drivers that allows
throughput up 80% higher than normal. This driver takes advantage of
a special feature in most D-Link cards and the Netware 3.11 network
operating system. This implementation does require all workstations
and servers to use D-Link adapters that have "Turbo" drivers.
Furthermore only Netware 3.11 or 3.12 file servers that have their
workstations using NETX for the shell should be used.

Do not use these drivers with VLMs or Netware 4.x because of
instabilities will develop. D-Link recommends that a site test this
driver before production LAN use was implemented.

This installation assumes that the PCMCIA drivers are working properly.
Please consult INST_DOS.TXT for help with PCMCIA Drivers.
Getting Started will describe the installation instructions.

 Getting Started

The Turbo Driver (that is, DE65SPRO.COM) implements the same format
used by ODI drivers, thus it is also considered as an ODI driver.

        Manual Installation

Copy the DE65SPRO.COM file from this diskette into the Netware client
         directory containing Novell's LSL.COM, IPXODI.COM and NETx.COM files.

Follow Novell's instructions on using ODI programs. You can substitute
the DE65SPRO.COM whenever a reference is made to the Hardware Specific
         Module.

A typical ODI workstation startup batch file includes:

     >LSL ; Link Support Layer Module provided by Novell
     >DE65SPRO ; Hardware Specific Turbo Module
     >IPXODI ; IPX Protocol Stack Module provided by Novell
     >NETX ; DOS Shell Support Module provided by Novell
     >LOGIN

NOTE: You also need to load DE22XPRO.LAN on the NetWare server to
           effectively use the Turbo Driver!
