 Introduction

       For convenience, the INSTALL.EXE provided on the driver disk. The
       A:\INSTALL.EXE will install all of the relative drivers. INSTALL.EXE
       requires a DOS based environment to do the installation process.

       The ODI DOS driver, NDIS DOS driver, and NDIS OS/2 driver are the only
       network operating system drivers that support an On-Line Hot-Swap
       function. Hot-swap allows the card to be removed and re-inserted with
       out reloading the driver. Eventhough the driver supports Hot-Swap your
       NOS may not support hot-swap.

       DCD16.EXE:
       DCD16.EXE is an integrated version of the open adapter utility. DCD16.EXE

 Getting Started

        DCD16 (Client driver configuration)

        The DCD16.EXE is used to open the I/O window mapping and IRQ of DE-650CT
        PCMCIA Ethernet Card. The Socket Services(v1.01) or DATABOOK Socket
        and Cardtalk must be installed before installing DCD16.

    NOTE: IRQ parameter uses 11 or other except IRQ 9 because DATABOOK
          doesn't support IRQ 9.

    Two methods can be used to execute DCD16.EXE:

                Method 1

                   At a DOS prompt,

                   A>DCD16 [/iop:P0] [/irq:P1] [/slt:P2]

                Method 2

                   In DOS config.sys

                   DEVICE=DCD16.EXE [/iop:P0] [/irq:P1] [/slt:P2]

                         The optional parameters:
                         /iop   :I/O base
                         /irq   :IRQ number
                         /slt   :Slot number

                         P0 :The selectable window I/O base with 0x20 range.
                             The default value is 0x300.
                         P1 :The selectable irq value.
                             The default value is 0x11.
                         P2 :The selectable slot number.
                             The default number is 0.

                         Example:
                         A>DCD16 /iop:320 /irq:11 /slt:1

        DCD16 (Full PCMCIA driver configuration)

        The DCD16.EXE is used to open the I/O window mapping and IRQ of the PCIC
        PCMCIA chipset. Inorder to run drivers of DE-650CT, DCD16.EXE must be
        executed first. The given parameters of DE-650CT drivers must match the
        hardware parameters settings of DCD16.EXE.

    Two methods can be used to execute DCD16.EXE:

                Method 1

                   At a DOS prompt,

                   A>DCD16 [/iop:P0] [/irq:P1] [/slt:P2]

                Method 2

                   In DOS config.sys

           such as I/O and IRQ.

           Ex:
           Modify CARDID.INI as follow.
                      :                               :
                      :                               :
              [Libraries]         Changed =>   [Libraries]
              CardLib=CARDID.CLB               ;CardLib=DLINK.CLB
                      :                               :
           Reboot PC
